There is an application form that needs to be completed and a questionnaire, this needs to be sent back with the required supporting documents. The process takes 48 hours upon receiving the finance application & ALL the supporting documents. Once all the documents are received only then will the process to review the application begin.
The supporting documents required are a certified ID copy of the applicant , proof of residence (not older than 3 months), recent 3 months bank statement, company financial statements or management accounts and a copy of contract or letter where the finance item will be working.
Our finance caters for owner drivers and small operators with 2 or more trucks (SME’s). Applicants must have transport experience. We finance 2nd hand vehicles – these are usually vehicles 5 years and older. We don’t finance items from dealerships unless negotiated on the terms acceptable to Truck Direct.
No, Truck Direct (PTY) Ltd are not linked to any commercial banks, we are a private finance house. We do in house financing but our vetting processes are similar to the bank. Our interest rate is at 19% per annum, linked to prime and the risk of financing trucks older than 5 years.
The deposit, which is payable upfront, is a standard finance parameter. Deposit payable is a minimum 30% of the value of the item. 30% is risk dependent, meaning if your risk is considered to be higher the deposit percentage/amount might be increased. Trade- ins are welcome.
